2020 – 2021 Dual Enrollment
The enrollment process is now open for students who wish to take dual enrollment classes next school year. Dual Enrollment programs provide opportunities for Georgia high school students to take college-level courses for free and earn credit toward a high school diploma and a college degree/career certificate at the same time. Program requirements at each college are different and it is up to the student to find out the requirements for the college they would like to attend.
Interested students and parents can pick up a Dual Enrollment Checklist handout from the Student Services office which details the dual enrollment application process.
All students must have applied to the college, requested their transcript via Parchment.com, and submitted the required test scores (or registered for the March/April test dates) by March 30th.

Attention Juniors! February is the time to apply for Work Based Learning for your senior year. Please see Mrs. Flemister in F116 during your study hall for an application and orientation.

Join us in the Hub February 20 & 21st to meet school representatives from The College of Coastal Georgia and SCAD. You must sign up ahead of time through Student Services, and remember Sophomores – you may attend all spring college visits.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be given on the 20th of February in the Aux Gym from 08:20-12:00. If you are interested in joining the military the ASVAB is required and the better you score the better your options are for securing training in high demand job skills. Taking the ASVAB incurs no obligation and it is great test to see what it is you are really good at. See LTC Duplechien in Portable 5 if you are interested in taking the ASVAB.

A reminder that this Friday, February 14, 2020, Roswell High students do not have school. As we approach Valentine’s Day, it is important to remember that candy, deserts, baked goods (store bought/homemade), or other edible items are not to be sold or distributed during school hours. Students who do not adhere to this expectation are subject to disciplinary action for insubordination and all food items will be confiscated.

VOX’s annual Open Hearts, Open Mic Night is on Wednesday, February 12th at the Fickle Pickle. We’ll be there from 4-5:30 to eat yummy food. Then, performances begin from 5:30 and end at 7 pm. No sign-ups necessary. This is a classic open-mic event.

Sometimes four day weeks are even more stressful than five day weeks! Join us for meditation in the HUB on Wednesday during B or C lunches and study halls to help keep that stress away. Bring a friend!

Spring College visits have started and all sophomores, juniors and seniors are invited to attend. Several schools are visiting Roswell in February, including Alabama, Mississippi State, and Georgia College. This is an easy way to do a college search! Stop by Student Services for more information.

The media center will not be opened to lunch or study hall students on Friday February 7 or Monday February 10. This does not effect peer tutoring. We ask that you plan accordingly.

Happy Birthday to Stacy Brooks-Horton
