Are you interested in learning more about Georgia State University? A representative will be here Wednesday, January 29th just for you! Sophomores are invited to attend along with Juniors and Seniors. Just sign up through Student Services.

Want to share your story? Ever dreamed about giving a Ted Talk? Speak your mind is a public speaking club that will give you the opportunity to have your voice heard. The club is having an informational meeting on Tuesday, the 21st. The meeting will be held in the orchestra room at 4pm. Come in, drink some chai, and see if it’s a club you’d like to join. Talk to Mr. Long in the band room (AA24) for more information!

Roswell’s 4th Hour of Code is tomorrow! Students will go to their advisement classrooms after 1st period and must bring either a fully charged Surface tablet to school with them. 11th and 12th graders please remember to download Minecraft: Education Edition tonight, so you don’t have to tomorrow.

Did you know? Rear Admiral Grace Hopper gets the kudos for creating the word computer BUG! In 1947 – that’s over 70 years ago – a moth flew into the circuits on her computer system and caused it to crash! That’s why it’s called a BUG in your code today! See you all TOMORROW for the HOUR OF CODE!

This message is for all fall athletes. We are now accepting applications for Scholar Athlete Recognition for Fall 2019. If you lettered in a GHSA sanctioned sport and earned a 90% GPA during the fall season, you can download the Scholar Athlete application to get your award patch. Visit the RHS website or the athletics website to download the application.

Are you asking yourself “how could I fulfill my civic duty and get involved in our democracy”? Well, you are in luck! Next week, January 22 and 23, Roswell High School will be sponsoring a Voter Registration Drive. If you are at least 17 and a half and a citizen of the U.S., you are eligible to register to vote in our upcoming elections. Bring your driver’s license to the Media Center next Wednesday or Thursday from 7:45-8:10am, during C or D lunches, or after school until 4:00 and register to vote! If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Masters in room F-111 or Mrs. Kemper in room F-107.

Girls Golf will have a meeting Friday, January 17th at 7:50 am in PE06.

TAG Registration is OPEN for spring semester seminars. Please go to the TAG website ( to register. Seminar classes begin the week of January 20th during study hall so register today to get your first choice!

Are you interested in trying out for Boys Lacrosse? You must have a sports physical uploaded to dragonfly. Tryouts are January 21st-23rd. See Mrs. Bethune in F-106 for details.
