Are you a Hispanic sophomore or junior interested in visiting our nation’s capital to learn about how our government works? Check out the Congressional Hispanic Caucus FREE NextGen summer program in Washington, DC @ or see Ms. Johnson or Ms. Gonzalez in the AP office.

First semester finals are next week! Taking time out to meditate will help improve your concentration and memory and reduce stress. Join us in the HUB on Wednesday during B or C lunch for a relaxing session of meditation. If you haven’t tried meditation yet, this week is the time to try!

Beta Club is sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit Covenant House, which provides care and services to vulnerable youth in Atlanta. To raise funds, we will hold a Hat Day this Wednesday, December 11th. For $3, all students and teachers can “purchase” a sticker to put onto their hat—larger donations are also appreciated! Tables will be set up in the Gym Lobby and Front Atrium on the morning of Wednesday, December 11th for you to donate and receive your hat sticker. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause as we approach the holiday season.

Congratulations to Raquel Dominguez and Maddie Lawes who placed fourth in the High School Novice division at the Atlanta Urban Debate League tournament this weekend at B.E.S.T. Academy. Great work!

Attention all students – if you participated THIS FALL in a sport, marching band or JROTC you can pick up a Personal fitness waiver in Student Services. This form must be completed in order to waive out of the Personal Fitness course required for graduation.

Students interested in joining the Diving Team we will have an informational meeting on Tuesday, December 10 at 5:00PM. This is for students who wish to participate in Diving only for this season. If you are unable to attend please contact Coach Brooks prior to next Tuesday.
