In 1962, he co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later became the United Farm Workers. Using nonviolent methods—such as boycotts, marches, and hunger strikes—Chávez secured raises and improved conditions for farm workers in California, Texas, Arizona, and Florida.

This year, Roswell High School will administer the PSAT to students in grades 9th – 11th on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. Students will take the PSAT on the morning and will dismiss at 12:30 pm. The buses will run their normal routes at dismissal but there will not be a sweep bus that day. Students will not follow their normal schedule as the entire morning will be spent taking the PSAT. Students will have the opportunity to get a “Grab -n- Go” lunch from the cafeteria at dismissal. For our 12th graders, they are not expected to come to school that day. This is a great day for seniors to schedule college visits, doctor’s appointments, or other events that would be considered an excused absence from school. For seniors who come to school, they will be able to participate in a study hall in the Cafeteria.

Let’s get you fully prepared for the ACT! The Princeton Review prep program begins in October. Classes are held here, after school. You can find more information on our school website, or come to Student Services.
