Are you interested in Korean music and culture? Visit K-Club on Wednesdays in Room H109 to discuss pop culture, participate in contests, learn dances and more! We hope to share a 15 – 30 second performance on the Buzz soon.

Are you interested in computers? Are you looking for ways to get involved with your school? Then come visit computing club! Help organize this year’s Hour of Code and meet other people who love computers as well. No computer science experience is required. Just come to Mr. Lee’s room G125 every Monday after school.

There will be an informational meeting for the National Art Honor Society on Tuesday, Sept. 17th at 7:45 am in art room A110. Please see Mrs. Knowles for more information.

Don’t forget that the Hornet Spirit Store will be open on Thursday and Friday during all lunches. Stop by and stock up on spirit wear before Friday’s home football game!

Get ready, Hornets! The VOX Literary Magazine is excited to announce the theme of our 2019-2020 literary magazine on this Friday’s Buzz Announcements.

The countdown continues: 2 days and counting! Planning on going to the football games on Friday night? New to Roswell High School this year is the CLEAR BAG POLICY! You will not be allowed to enter the games with anything but a clear bag. The purpose of this is to ensure your safety as well as the others around you.

September is Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Do you know where to go if you’d like more information on connecting with a therapist? Student Services is a great place to start! Reach out to your school counselor or our school social worker if you or your parents would like more information about connecting with a private therapist. Many therapists are even available to do sessions during the school day during lunch or study hall. Take care of yourselves and each other and reach out if anyone you know needs help!

Don’t forget we have meditation in the HUB today during B and C study halls and lunches. Meditation is proven to reduce stress, improve sleep, help concentration and lots more.

Congratulations to Mr. Gillenwater for being selected as the Roswell Football Teacher of the Week for this week’s home opener against West Forsyth High School. Thank you, Mr. Gillenwater for all you do for Roswell High School.

The Superhero Club will meet before school on Tuesday, September 17th in room D-109.

Key Club will have its first meeting on Tuesday, September 17th at 8AM in Mrs. Boyd’s room, F114. This meeting is for students returning to Key Club as well as those who might like to join.

Students! Class shirts will be available for pickup during all lunches Wednesday and Thursday. Please stop by the gym lobby to get your brand new spirit wear!

The Powder Puff Tournament will be October 2nd this year at 6:30 pm! Pick up a waiver and access the QR code outside E104 or D112. Only the first 25 girls of each grade level will be able to play. To register, you MUST turn in your waiver AND a purchase receipt for the Tshirt. Sophomores and Juniors, turn in your forms to Ms. Allegood in E104; Freshmen and Seniors, turn in your forms to Ms. Gaffigan in D112. The deadline to turn in forms is September 23rd!

Speak Your Mind, an introduction to public speaking, is a club that gives YOU an opportunity to share your story, research, or opinion on a variety of themes and topics to a live audience. They meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30am in the band room. See Mr.Long, in AA24, with any more questions. What’s YOUR idea worth spreading?

Senior packets are available outside Room D-111! Provide your senior quote and vote for superlatives. Packets are due back by September 12th.

If you like learning about cultures and languages from around the world, then join us for monthly Language Fusion Club activities. Our first meeting is on Wednesday, September 11 after school in room E116. Come learn about Japan’s moon viewing ceremony and “mochi” snack making. If you have questions, please see a world language teacher. Everyone is welcome. You don’t need to be taking a language to join us!

If you are interested in playing baseball this year there is a mandatory baseball meeting Thursday September 12th at 8:00am in PE 07. This is for everyone, including returning players. If you have questions please see Coach Sutter in the AP office.

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Student Services is sponsoring a field trip to Gwinnett Tech Alpharetta Campus for CareerWorks on Wednesday, September 18 from 4pm to 6pm. If you are interested in attending, come to the Student Services office to pick up a permission slip.
