The Powder Puff Tournament will be October 2nd this year at 6:30 pm! Pick up a waiver and access the QR code outside E104 or D112. Only the first 25 girls of each grade level will be able to play. To register, you MUST turn in your waiver AND a purchase receipt for the Tshirt. Sophomores and Juniors, turn in your forms to Ms. Allegood in E104; Freshmen and Seniors, turn in your forms to Ms. Gaffigan in D112. The deadline to turn in forms is September 23rd!

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Student Services is sponsoring a field trip to Gwinnett Tech Alpharetta Campus for CareerWorks on Wednesday, September 18 from 4pm to 6pm. If you are interested in attending, come to the Student Services office to pick up a permission slip.

Speak Your Mind, an introduction to public speaking, is a club that gives YOU an opportunity to share your story, research, or opinion on a variety of themes and topics to a live audience. They meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30am in the band room. See Mr.Long, in AA24, with any more questions. What’s YOUR idea worth spreading?

Get ready, Hornets! The VOX Literary Magazine is excited to announce the theme of our 2019-2020 literary magazine on this Friday’s Buzz Announcements. The countdown begins: 4 days and counting!

Senior packets are available outside Room D-111! Provide your senior quote and vote for superlatives. Packets are due back by September 12th.

Students and Teachers: Please remember that we have revised our RHS Media Tech Center hours. The revised hours are: Monday / Tuesday / Thursday 8 AM to 5 PM Wednesday 7:30 AM to 5 PM Friday 8 AM to 4 PM

If you like learning about cultures and languages from around the world, then join us for monthly Language Fusion Club activities. Our first meeting is on Wednesday, September 11 after school in room E116. Come learn about Japan’s moon viewing ceremony and “mochi” snack making. If you have questions, please see a world language teacher. Everyone is welcome. You don’t need to be taking a language to join us!

There will be a meeting for ALL Students interested in trying out for baseball this year at 8:00 in PE 07. If you have questions or cannot attend please see Coach Sutter in the AP office.

If you are interested in playing baseball this year there is a mandatory baseball meeting Thursday September 12th at 8:00am in PE 07. This is for everyone, including returning players. If you have questions please see Coach Sutter in the AP office.

This will be our 7th year at Roswell High School hosting Project 9/11, an annual event remembering the victims of the September 11th attacks. This memorial is in the form of an enormous flag installation on our front lawn. The flag set-up will take place on the front lawn immediately after school on Tuesday, September 10 and the take-down will take place immediately after school on Thursday, September 12. Seniors: you must complete both activities to earn an honor cord. Please see Mrs. Boyd in F114 if you have questions.

Seniors! Create your yearbook senior ad on before September 30th!

Are you interested in computers? Are you looking for ways to get involved with your school? Then come visit computing club! Help organize this year’s Hour of Code and meet other people who love computers as well. No computer science experience is required. Just come to Mr. Lee’s room G125 every Monday after school.

We hope you enjoyed your HUG as you arrived to school this morning. Thanks to our Student Council members and Cheerleaders for making our Annual Hug-A-Hornet Day a great way to start the week and a great way to kickoff Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention Month. Throughout the September you will hear more about ways to take care of your mental health and how to support your friends who may be struggling. Know that we are here for you and we care about you and your mental health.

Over the weekend the junior varsity volleyball team participated in the Georgia Challenge JV tournament. They tied for 4th place out of the 20 in attendance. Way to go girls!
