Announcements 02/04/18

Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, the School Governance Council has approved the adoption of the Universal Fitness Waiver. One of the biggest changes is that students must successfully complete 2 seasons of a GHSA sanctioned sport or marching band to waive Personal Fitness. The new waiver guidelines will not allow students to use prior years activities to meet the requirement. Students eligible for a personal fitness waiver
under the current waiver guidelines are strongly encouraged to submit their Personal Fitness Waiver form to Student Services by May 23, 2019 to take advantage of the current waiver requirements.

Good morning, students and teachers. I am excited to announce that our school has been selected to participate in the 2019 National Assessment of Educational Progress, also known as NAEP. It is the largest continuing and nationally representative assessment of what students across the country know and can do in a variety of subjects. Some of our 12th-graders have been selected to take assessments on February 2nd in math, reading, science, and writing. To those who have been selected for this important test, you have all our support, and I have NO doubt that you will represent us well! More details to follow as we move closer to our school’s assessment day. Thank you in advance for your involvement.

The last day to order a personalized yearbook is Friday, February 22nd. Visit or see Ms. Goddard to order.

Additional college visits have been added to the Google calendar. Check the list outside Student Services and sign up now to talk with representatives! Don’t forget to check back often for updates.
