If you are not planning on returning to Roswell High School next semester due to moving or changing schools, please see Ms. Townsend in Student Services to get information on withdrawing.

Students please take this time now, to re-start your Surfaces tablets. Re-starting will help it to run better and ensures you get the latest fixes. If you Snooze, you loose! Remember, pushing the top button only puts your Surface to sleep. Be Smart – Restart! So come on, lets do it right now – Go to Start, Select the Power icon, and re-start! Your Surface is feeling better already!

Roswell’s Boys Soccer program will be holding an informational parent meeting on December 4th at 7:00pm in the Cafeteria. If you are interested in trying out for either the JV or Varsity soccer team, please make sure you and a parent attend this meeting.

Be sure to come see the RHS Winter Play festival presented by this years Acting 1 and 2 classes. You will have the opportunity to see not only one show, but two fantastic One Act Plays this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm in the Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door. Don’t forget about Mindfulness Meditation every Friday 4th Period in The HUB (Student Services) during B lunch/study hall 12:00-12:25 and C lunch/study hall 12:30-12:55 Come join us for 20 minutes of meditation to end your week on a positive note. Put down your phone, turn off social media and take some time for yourself to get centered. Benefits include: a decrease in stress and lowered anxiety levels, better focus and concentration, decreased depressive symptoms, higher brain functioning a feeling of peace and tranquility, and a greater ability to perform/focus athletically

Students who have study hall during the selected time can either get a pass from their 4th pd teacher or just communicate with the teacher in meditation to email their study hall teacher to be excused. If the student has LUNCH during meditation time (not study hall), they can choose to go to lunch during their study hall and attend meditation during their lunch…the student just needs to communicate to the teacher in meditation and they will take care of correcting their absence from study hall. You just need to show up at a designated time and enjoy.

Roswell High School’s 3rd annual Hour of Code event will be held on Friday, December 7th after 1st period. Students will learn the basic principles of computer programming — an important skill for many careers. Please make sure to bring a fully charged phone or Surface tablet, as you will need access to the Internet to participate!

The Powder Puff game is December 14th this year where the girls play football and the guys cheer. There will be 2 games: Freshman versus Sophomores and Juniors versus Seniors. Anyone can sign up! Stop by D112 or E104 for the QR code on the door. Deadline to register is November 30th. Registration is $20 and includes a cool t-shirt!

Wouldn’t it be terrible to be stuck in the hospital over the holidays? All next week, The Roswell High School Key Club is collecting brand NEW toys, games, pajamas, and other items to donate to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We can make so many young people’s lives a little more cheery if we all pitch in a little! Please bring your donations to Mrs. Boyd’s room, F114 all next week. See flyers around school for ideas of what to donate.

Happy Birthday to Betty Estevez
