Attention Seniors who earned a Project 9/11 Honor Cord: They have arrived! You may come to Mrs. Boyd’s room, F114, to pick it up either before or after school starting on Monday, November 5th. 

Are you a writer, an artist, a photographer, or a performer? Don’t you want your work published and celebrated in the high school’s literary yearbook, the VOX literary magazine? Submit your art, poetry, music, and writing and more to rhsvox@gmail.com. It’s easy! Just go to our site rhsvox.com for a few tips or come by E105 for info. Deadline for submission is November 9th, which is right around the corner. 

Looking for an opportunity to practice taking the ACT? You’re in luck! There is still space available for the Mock ACT taking place Saturday, November 10th at 9am in the RHS media center. See Ms. Butler in student services for more details. 

We are hosting the 1st round football playoffs at Ray Manus Stadium on Friday night. Here are some friendly reminders about playoff games: 

1) Everyone must purchase a ticket for the game. All-athletic passes, booster club passes, and employee badges do not gain entrance to playoff games. Only GHSA passes gain entry. 

2) Student tickets will be sold at all lunches on Friday for $6. Each student is allowed to purchase one ticket. Adult tickets will not be sold at lunches. 

3) Any ticket purchased after Friday lunch or at the gate on Friday night will be $8. We anticipate long lines, so purchase your ticket on GoFan if you can. 

4) NO BOOKBAGS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE STADIUM ON FRIDAY NIGHT. Also, we do not allow “in and out” at football games. Once you leave, you are out for good! We hope to see you at the game on Friday night! 

For those boys interested in playing Roswell golf, there is a mandatory meeting next Thursday November 8th after school in room a105. if you have any questions, contact coach pickard at any time. 

Having guests over for the holidays? Time to update the worn out bath towels and blankets! The Environmental Club has joined forces with the CBI students and the Animal Care Club. We will be collecting used towels and blankets during the month of November to be donated to the Atlanta Humane Society. Drop off in H-112. 

All tennis players trying out for Roswell Tennis teams must attend a mandatory meeting on Wednesday Nov. 7th from 3:35 until 3:50. Boys will go to E108 with Coach Bryan and girls will go to portable 2 with Coach Shackelford. 

Georgia Southern will be here November 8th to speak with our minority students about college opportunities. If you would like to attend this informative meeting, be sure you sign up outside Student Services. 

The annual VOX Open Mic night at The Fickle Pickle Sugar Shack is on Wednesday, November 7th. Sign up to perform on rhsvox.com. Only the first 60 sign-ups are guaranteed to perform. Come support your friends and/or be part of the great night! Eat from 4-5:30; perform from 5:30-7:30. 

 Are you interested in going to Washington, DC? There will be a Close Up information meeting on Thursday, November 8th at 8 AM in F101. Don’t miss this great opportunity . 

Do you want to learn how to invest? Come to Invest-a-Club November 7th at 7:50 in F101 There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing golf on Nov. 7th in PE06 at 7:50 am. If you have any question please see Coach Baumgarten.
