Hey Hornets! Do you like gourmet cheesecakes, cookies, pies, and delicious treats? Well just ask any JROTC Cadet how you can purchase these items and many more! Your RHS JROTC has begun their annual fundraiser and would like your support! The fundraiser ends September 17th so get yours today! 

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in the Swim and Dive team at 7:30 AM on Wednesday, September 12th, in room F106. We welcome club swimmers and divers, those with summer league experience, and athletes with some swim experience looking for a great off season cross training sport. Several universities are coming in this month, including Villanova, the University of Alabama, Emory, Penn State and the University of South Carolina. Sign up today, or stop by Student Services for more information. 

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing soccer for RHS in the spring on Tuesday, September 11th- from 3:45- 4:15 in the Media Center. This is for all grades. 

 Who are Rey’s parents? Will Anakin Skywalker force ghost himself into Star Wars Episode 9? Come to the Roswell High School Superhero Club on Tuesday, September 11th to discuss your fan theories. 

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Are you interested in a Career in Accounting? The Georgia Society of CPA’s wants you to participate in their Advancing of Rising Professionals Program. Please see Mrs. Flemister in F116 for an application. 

It’s way more than just building robots! Join Roswell Robotics for an informational meeting and the launch of the First Tech Challenge (FTC) game, Rover Ruckus. The meeting will be held at RHS in room B106 at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 8th. Visit firstinspires.org or just Google FIRST to find out more. 

Attention Seniors – There are only 4 days left to sign up for the School Day SAT on October 10. Sign up is now opened to all seniors that want to take the test but there are only about 30 seats remaining. The deadline is this Friday, September 7 at 4 PM. The sign up sheet is located in Student Services. 

Project 9/11, the RHS memorial for the victims of September 11th 2001, will begin on Monday, September 10 immediately after school, outside at the end of F hall. Please bring a hammer and a screwdriver to help with the installation of flags. Flag cleanup will take place immediately after school on Wednesday, September 12. If you are a senior who wants to earn an honor cord, you must participate fully on both days. 

Don’t forget: September is Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. If you or a friend are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, remember how important it is to follow the ACT model: Acknowledge, Care, Tell. YOU could make the difference in saving a life.

The first Beta Club meeting for existing members will be this FRIDAY at 7:45 am in the auditorium. That is this FRIDAY, not Thursday. Sorry for the confusion!
