Freshmen (and other newbies) who would like to join Student Council, please pick up paperwork outside of Mrs Hartigan’s room H110 this week. You can choose to run for an office or just join as a representative. Either way you MUST pick up a packet and return by Monday August 20th at 4pm. There is a mandatory meeting after you turn it in on Tuesday August 21st at EITHER 7:50 am OR 3:40 pm. We can’t wait to meet you!
Attention students! The sweep bus begins Monday, August 13. The sweep bus provides transportation for students that are staying after school for approved school activities. The sweep bus will leave campus at 5 pm and you must have permission to ride the bus. The bus stop locations are posted outside the AP Office. Again, the sweep bus begins on Monday.

Roswell Rotary is looking for 15 to 181/2 year old high school students interested in a scholarship covering room, board, tuition and a monthly stipend for one academic year as they study overseas valued at over $24,000. The student/family pays for airfare, insurance and some other fees totaling around $5000. French and German students: have you heard about Roswell High School’s exchange program with a high school in France? We’ll be hosting students this fall and traveling to France and Germany in the spring. Interested in international travel and a great cultural experience? Join us next Tuesday, August 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center for more information if you are hosting a student this fall or are interested in traveling with us to France and Germany next spring.
Attention all girls interested in playing lacrosse for Roswell next year. Please come to an informational meeting Monday, August 13 in F-106 at 4pm. Our new head coach, Brooke Magnuson, will be laying out her vision for the 2019 season. Even if you are just thinking about playing girls lacrosse, please come!
Congratulations to all the cross country runners for completing the annual pre-season ranking time trial on Saturday. Racing to the top boy’s rank is Jack Rhodes who ran the 2 mile course in a record time of 10:13 and Mallie MacKinsey, the top girl who also ran in record time of 12:43. Rounding out the boys’ top five are Jacob Brunner, Jordan Gomez, John Drombrowski, and Michael Parnes. The girls’ top five include Sara Sandreuter, Rosie Grant, Abby Smith, and Roxanne Colson. All of these runners had outstanding races. The Cross Country Hornets compete in their first meet this Friday in Canton. Come watch the fastest kids in Roswell! Go Hornets!
